Grad Student:
At the top of my TBR list this summer is Rules of Civility by Amor Towles. Moving from NYC to Newport, RI for the summer, I must read this Gatsby-era book which is set in both places! While it Lasts by Abbie Glines. I have not read a contemporary romance with cowboys, but I WILL SOON. I am also hoping I can bank on Marchetta for some excellent swoon and a beautiful story in The Piper's Son. Last but not least I want to read Amy and Roger's Epic Detour. I cannot get enough contemporary YA right now. Bring it on, beach reads!
Goosie Mama:
I am going to finish up the Sookie Stackhouse series for sure. Maybe do some throwback to Goosebumps? i want to see if the cliffhangers at the end of each chapter are as nail bite-worthy as I remember them being to 10 year old me!
Crazy Camper: Blue Hearts of Mars by Nicole Grotepas. True love separated due to the fact that...one is an android! They also live on the planet Mars.
What books are you determined to read this summer? Let us know! As always, a big thanks to The Broke and the Bookish for hosting our fav book blog meme. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWonderful summer reading list you have got. Happy reading!!
Here is my Top Ten post!
Great list! Lots of books look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOoh, reading Goosebumps brings back some memories! Awesome list :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun, diverse reading list! I still need to read The Piper's Son and would love to read all of the Sookie Stackhouse books! I've only read a couple, but really loved them!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy! And re your question on my Dare You To review: I think Katie McGarry's books stand alone. They are true companions, not sequels. Noah and Echo (from PtL) make appearances in Dare You To, but pretty early in the book her uncle takes custody of her, so most of the minor characters you really spend time with are totally new. BUT Katie told me at BEA that my FAVE minor character from PtL will be in book three: Crash Into You! WOOHOO!
ReplyDeleteBeach reads are the best :) I really want to read Amy and Roger's Epic Detour as well!
ReplyDeleteI really want to read Amy and Roger's Epic Detour, too!! It looks great!! And Blue Hearts of Mars is so unique sounding! Definitely going to have to check it out!!
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT
I was lucky enough to meet R.L. Stine at last year's National BookFest and got him to autograph my original copy of Welcome to Dead House. I haven't read these books in years but perhaps a Goosebumps read-a-long is in store for us all? Think about it! It could be fuuuuun (drinking may or may not be required).
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm very interested to know what you think about the final installment of the Sookie books. And who are you rooting for her to end up with?
I really want to read Amy and Roger's Epic Detour! I love road trip books because this type of travel isn't really possible in my country (too small) and going on a road trip in the US is a big dream of mine :)
ReplyDeleteI also need to catch up on the Sookie Stackhouse books...
Great choices, thanks for checking out mine yesterday :)
