Unlike Goosie Mama and Grad Student, in summer, I have a hard time reading lots of books. Winter time? Bring them on. Summertime? I am outside 'till it gets dark every weekend, and pretty much try to catch up on sleep and let my bug bites heal and athetic-based sunburns fade during the week. But I am slowly rereading
The Great Gatsby (judge sparingling) so I can go see the movie when it comes out.
And in honor of summer, my mild reading habits, and Mr. Gatsby, here is a quote:
“ And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees— just as things grow fast in movies — I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer. " F.S.F.
Happy summer reading all!

hahahahahaha athletic-based sunburns
ReplyDeleteNot sure I am quite as athletically inclined as you (I was always the type to win "Most Improved") but I have the same problem with summer. It's been hot in New York - too hot to drag myself to the library.
ReplyDeleteBut Leo will truly kill it, yet again. So yay Great gatsby!
This is one of my all time fave books and I am so PSYCHED for the movie! I hope you love it!
